Town of Windsor Declares April 24 – 30, 2016 “UCHealth Medical Fitness Week”

On April 11, the Town of Windsor officially signed a proclamation, making April 24 – 30, 2016 “UCHealth Medical Fitness Week”. This proclamation mirrors MedFit’s commitment to promoting active healthy lifestyles to help lower and prevent the risk of developing chronic diseases, such as diabetes and heart disease, as well as to help recover from illness or injury.

A medical fitness center identifies and utilizes a person’s unique medical profile to design a safe, medically supervised fitness program as a necessary component to achieve optimum health, prevent and treat disease and/or injury.

UCHealth Medical Fitness continues to be an important asset to the Town of Windsor and proactively impacts the health and fitness goals of residents; and has proven to be beneficial for members in increasing physical activity, attaining a healthy lifestyle and rehabilitating from injury.

April 24 – 30 is National Medical Fitness Week and as northern Colorado’s first and Windsor’s only medical fitness facility, UCHealth Medical Fitness is bringing health and fitness activities to the Windsor community including participation in a national walking challenge; and in celebrating UCHealth Medical Fitness week, we are reminded of the benefits that medical fitness and a focus on health bring to our community.
